DIRECTIONS

The office is located at 104 Roanoke Street in Christiansburg. It's in a yellow house across the street from the downtown Christiansburg Hardee's, just a block from the Montgomery County Courthouse. (Note that the law firm of David W. Rhodes, Attorney at Law, PLC, is located in the same building, but it is a separate law firm.) The parking lot for our building is on the side closest to the traffic light. You may park there or across the street at the Hardee's. (Please don't park in the driveway of the house next to our building, which also happens to be a yellow house.)

ABOUT THE ATTORNEY

Mr. Phillips graduated from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1985 and later worked for The Boeing Company as a systems engineer and design engineer on NASA's Space Station program in Huntsville, Alabama. During that same time he served with the Tennessee Army National Guard as a cannoneer and gunner in a howitzer crew and participated in Operation Desert Storm.

In 2000 he moved to Fairfax County, Virginia, to attend the George Mason University School of Law (now: The Antonin Scalia Law School), where he obtained a Juris Doctor degree in May of 2003. After taking the bar exam that summer, he was admitted to practice law in Virginia that Fall. After obtaining his law license, Mr. Phillips had a solo law practice in Northern Virginia working primarily as an independent contractor for other attorneys before moving to Blacksburg, Virginia, in 2005, when he was hired to be the Student Legal Services Attorney at Virginia Tech. Over the next five years, he assisted thousands of Virginia Tech students with their legal problems.

In July of 2010, he left the Student Legal Services program to start Phillips Law, PLC. Since then, Mr. Phillips has represented hundreds of clients both in and out of court. On the criminal defense side, matters have ranged from speeding tickets to malicious wounding, drug manufacturing/distribution, rape, and felony murder. On the civil side, matters have ranged from minor landlord-tenant issues to six-figure personal injury claims.
